Sebastian Helling, Peter Mohall, Andrea Scholze
For Enter Art Fair, the gallery presents a focused dialogue between Oslo-based artists Sebastian Helling, Andrea Scholze, and Peter Mohall. The presentation centers on painterly gesture and the brushstroke within painting and sculpture. Helling’s large-scale paintings are defined by direct, forceful, immediate brushwork. Drawing on abstraction and neo-expressionism, his canvases foreground gesture and the raw intensity between artist and canvas. Mohall’s paintings push the brushstroke into sculptural territory. Using tempera on jute together with cast, replicated brushstrokes in acrylic, he builds structured surfaces that move between image and object. In his works, the stroke becomes form, foregrounding abstraction and shifting attention to color, form, and texture. Scholze’s roughly shaped ceramics, have strong expressive painterly qualities, Her tactile surfaces emphasize vulnerability, both physically and emotionally. Where Helling and Mohall externalize gesture in paint, Scholze embeds it in the body of the figure. Together, the three artists engage in a dialogue on contemporary Nordic painting and material presence, examining gesture as structure, surface, and psychological state. -- The fair participation is generously supported by Office For Contemporary Art Norway (OCA). -- Founded in 2019, Enter Art Fair has grown steadily in scale, ambition, and international relevance. Today, the fair is recognised as a key entry point to the Scandinavian art market and a destination on the global art calendar, welcoming collectors, institutions, art professionals, and visitors from across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Enter Art Fair is held at Lokomotivværkstedet, Copenhagen, DK.
